RGB Lighting

RGB Lighting

RGB stands for Red, Green and Blue.  The combination of these three colors along with the intensity of each color, creates a large array of color combinations.  These color combinations can be electronically manipulated in order to provide a fully customized light display.  The technology is rapidly advancing when it comes to seasonal lighting, holiday lighting and commercial light displays.

The combination of a LED (Light Emitting Diode) and the technology of introducing to that standard LED, three cathodes (one red, one green and one blue) is what creates the RGB LED.  The image below depicts the three cathodes in an RGB LED and the single anode.
